679 KM range and 6 seats! New variant of Mahindra XEV 9S launched, know the price

Mahindra has introduced a new 6-seater variant of XEV 9S. It has separate captain seats instead of the standard second-row bench seat. The company says that this increases the premium feel and comfort of the cabin. This new seating option is available in 'Pack Two Above', 'Pack Three' and 'Pack Three Above' variants. Apart from the seating arrangement, there have been no changes to the features, battery options or motor of the XEV 9S.

6-seater XEV 9S price
The 6-seater version of the Mahindra XEV 9S is priced ₹25,000 more than its corresponding 7-seater variant. Prices range between ₹25.25 lakh to ₹30.15 lakh (ex-showroom). The new configuration has two separate captain seats in the second row, which also have separate armrests. The walk-through space makes accessing the third row easier than ever. As a result, the XEV 9S now offers a 2+2+2 seating layout. This variant is especially for those customers who want more comfort and privacy in the second row.

Mahindra's hold on India's EV market strengthened
In the first half of 2026, Mahindra emerged as the fastest growing company among India's top three EV makers. Between January and June 2026, the company's EV sales grew 147 percent to 34,131 units. During the same period, its market share increased from 17 percent to 23 percent.
