Sambhal is mentioned in Kalki Purana as the birthplace of Lord Kalki. His father’s name is Vishnuyash and mother’s name is Sumati. According to religious belief, he will have four brothers, who will help him in establishing the religion. Lord Kalki is also believed to have had two marriages and the names of his wives are said to be Padma and Rama.

The form of Lord Kalki is described in Agni Purana. According to belief, he will ride on the white horse Devdutt and will have a bow and arrow in his hands.
