Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been sent back to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after medical examination. According to media reports, on the instructions of the Supreme Court, he was taken to Shifa International Hospital, where his health examination was done. After this he was brought back to jail amid tight security arrangements.
Imran Khan was taken to the hospital via Pitas Bukhari Road, where a large number of police and administrative officials were deployed for security. A security cordon was created around the hospital and changes were also made in the traffic system. After the investigation was completed, the officials took him directly to jail.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is in jail since 2023 and is serving a 14-year sentence in the Toshakhana case. Concern was raised about his health while in jail, after which the Supreme Court ordered to take him to a private hospital for medical examination.
