Maximum impact in Mandi and Kullu
The maximum impact of rain and bad weather is being seen in Mandi and Kullu districts. A total of 52 roads are closed in Mandi. These include 35 roads of Siraj sub-division alone. At the same time, 43 roads in Kullu are still closed. Due to closure of roads, people are facing difficulty in commuting.
Electricity and water problems also continue
15 power transformers are faulty in Sarkaghat and Sundernagar of Mandi. Due to this, the electricity system has been affected in many areas. At the same time, there is a drinking water crisis in Hamirpur. 46 drinking water schemes are closed in the district, due to which people are facing water problems. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be moderate rain in some parts of Himachal on August 21 and 22. However, the monsoon is expected to gradually weaken.
Schools and colleges closed due to heavy rain
In Himachal Pradesh, no new statewide order has been issued to keep schools and colleges closed in the entire state. There is definitely an alert of heavy rain, but the decision of holiday can be taken by the local administration or concerned institutions.
