Rahul Gandhi's 'dharna' in pellet gun case! The victim reached Sansad Marg police station with Sahil, sat outside the police station when there was no FIR

New Delhi. The issue of use of pellet guns during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) agitation at Jantar Mantar has now gained political significance. Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Sansad Marg police station in Delhi on Friday. He also took with him Sahil Lohbach, who was injured by the pellet gun, and accused him of not registering an FIR in the case yet.

Rahul Gandhi first reached the DCP office to get information related to the investigation of the case. After getting information from the officials there, he sat on strike outside Sansad Marg police station. As soon as information about their protest was received, many senior Congress leaders also reached the spot.

Many leaders including Priyanka Gandhi arrived

Many Congress leaders including Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, Salman Khurshid and Jairam Ramesh participated in the protest along with Rahul Gandhi. Congress leaders raised the demand for investigation into the use of pellet guns and justice for the victim.

Question on FIR not being registered

Rahul Gandhi alleged that FIR has not been registered yet in the case of Sahil Lohbach who was injured by pellet gun. He demanded a fair investigation into the matter and action against those responsible. After Rahul sat on dharna outside the police station, a crowd of Congress workers also gathered at the spot. Due to this, political activities intensified around Sansad Marg.

Earlier, while talking to journalists, Rahul Gandhi said that pellet gun was used in Connaught Place on July 20. 200 pellets hit his (Sahil) body. Three pellets hit his eyes. It is clearly written in the AIIMS report that there are more than 200 shrapnel in his body and three in his eye. His eye has been badly damaged and he will not be able to see with that eye. There are shrapnel right near their heart, which cannot be touched.

Rahul Gandhi said that Delhi Police said that pellets were not fired from our side. So there is only one question, if you did not fire then someone must have fired these pellets. Perhaps someone else fired shrapnel on them. We are just saying that file an FIR. From inside we are being told that orders have come from above that FIR cannot be registered. We are not going to move from here until the FIR is filed. Injustice is faced by lakhs of people in this country. Our demand is to disclose the name of the FIR, DDR and investigating officer. We are just asking for justice for this family.
