According to the Central Railway, a crane of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) fell from a nearby work site on overhead equipment (OHE) between Kurla and Trombay. This is mainly a goods train line, so movement has not been affected. So far, 11 people have been reported injured in this accident. MMRDA has taken responsibility for this accident.

According to DCP Ganesh Shinde of Mumbai Police, he has met the injured after the incident. He has gone to the hospital and met 9 injured people, the condition of all is stable, while one or two people have been admitted to private hospitals. There is no news of any death yet.

At present, relief and rescue work is going on and the crane is being removed. Police have started investigating the matter.
