In the second game, the Chinese pair put pressure on India by taking a 5-1 lead, but Trisa and Gayatri made a brilliant comeback. The Indian players stepped up their attack and put continuous pressure on the net to win the second game 21-15.

In the third game, Treesa and Gayatri took control of the match from the beginning. They took a lead of 11-5 and after that did not give any big chance to the Chinese pair to make a comeback. The Indian pair maintained complete control of the match after taking a lead of 17-9. Despite losing a few match points, both players did not lose patience and eventually won the deciding game 21-13 to enter the semi-finals. After the victory, Trisa Jolly fell on the court, while Gayatri could not believe her happiness for a few moments. This victory was a great result of long struggle and comeback for both the players.
Big achievement after returning from injury
The World Championship medal is special for Trisa and Gayatri because both of them had returned to the court after difficult rehabilitation. He made a comeback in the Indonesia Open and after that also participated in the US Open. Earlier this month, the Indian pair had also won the Philippine International Challenge title. Both players had won bronze medals in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and made it to the world top-10 rankings in early 2025.
