Under the pressure of the student movement, the Jharkhand government took a historic decision on August 17 and took action against 45 disputed examinations. Of these, 22 examinations were cancelled, investigation was ordered in 17 examinations and 6 examinations were postponed.

He further said that 'the government had canceled these examinations on the basis of the investigation report of CID. In this report, statements of many ministers were recorded and many irregularities were revealed. But when the High Court gave the government a chance to present its side, why did the government not strongly present the CID investigation report before the court? This has caused deep disappointment among the students and general public of Jharkhand.

Announcement to continue the movement

Devendra Nath Mahato said that 'We are not going to compromise with our struggle at any cost. People's sentiments are deeply attached to the CGL issue and today the selected students are also facing problems. He said, 'My fight has never been to snatch the jobs of innocent students. The government should take responsibility and give justice to deserving and innocent students. Also, a clear distinction should be made between guilty and innocent students. He announced that 'Recruitment Process Improvement Yatra' will be started by JLKM from Monday, August 24. This yatra will pass through all the 24 districts of Jharkhand.
