Revanth Reddy's US tour not allowed

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's US tour has not received approval from the Centre. The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) gave this information on Friday.

Revanth Reddy is currently in London. He had to go to Boston, US. He was to return from there to Hyderabad on August 30. But now they will return directly to Hyderabad on 23rd August.

According to the CMO, the delegation of Telangana Rising will not be able to go to the US under the leadership of Revanth Reddy. The Ministry of External Affairs has refused to give approval due to political reasons.

As per the rules, the state government had sought approval from the Center for the UK and USA tour. But only the UK tour was approved. According to the CMO, after the delegation reached UK, the Center informed that the USA tour has not been approved.

UK, US tour was already planned

Revanth Reddy reached London on 20 August. Their tour included events at venues such as Oxford, Cambridge, the University of London and the London Business School. He was also to attend an event related to EPL football at the Emirates Stadium.

After this, he was to visit Harvard University and MIT in the US on August 24. On August 25, he was to speak to the Virginia Tech team in Boston and on August 26, he was to attend an event of the US chapter of the Indian Overseas Congress in New York.
