Delhi: Discussion has started to change the dates of the three-match T20 International series to be held between India and Afghanistan next month. However, no official decision has been taken on this yet. According to the report, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has proposed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to hold the series a few days in advance.
According to the current schedule, three T20 matches between India and Afghanistan are to be played on 13, 15 and 17 September. All the matches are to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Now ACB has suggested to hold these matches on 11, 13 and 14 September.

The most important thing in the proposed schedule is the date of September 14. On this day, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated across the country. ACB has suggested to hold the match on this day also. According to Cricbuzz, ACB has said to keep in mind the cultural programs taking place in India behind the change in dates.
The board believes that holding matches on changed dates can have a positive impact on viewership and TV viewership. ACB has put this proposal before BCCI on the basis of the demand of some of its stakeholders. However, this proposal has not yet been approved by BCCI.
