The police took immediate action and started searching for the two with the help of technical surveillance, call details and CCTV footage and finally recovered the student safely from Noida and the teacher from Mathura.

Unsolved story started from Tajganj

A 16-year-old class 11 student went missing along with his 38-year-old teacher in Tajganj police station area of Agra. The student had left home on August 4 with about Rs 3,000 for a school project and left the bicycle at a friend's house on the way.
When he did not return home till late, the family members started searching and found out that the teacher was also not at home. After this, the student's family filed a kidnapping case, while the teacher's husband filed a missing report.

CCTV of Agra Cantt station revealed the secret

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police first searched the call detail report (CDR) of the mobile numbers of both. Investigation revealed that there was a continuous conversation between the student and the teacher for a long time. After this, the police intensified the investigation of CCTV cameras of major routes and railway stations of the city. During investigation, the two were clearly seen boarding the train together in the footage of Agra Cantt Railway Station.
This footage gave a clear direction to the police investigation. Technical investigation revealed that after leaving Agra, both of them first reached Gwalior. After this, they went in earnest to the famous Kailadevi temple of Rajasthan, where both of them also had darshan. After living together for a few days, both of them left for different cities. By tracking the mobile location, the police team traced the student safely from Noida and the teacher from Mathura.

Teacher's claim during inquiry

During police interrogation, the teacher told a completely different story behind leaving home with the student. According to the teacher, the student was under a lot of stress due to scolding for studies at home and would often come to her and cry. On August 4, the student had called him and said that he would become depressed and take a terrible step like suicide. The teacher told the police that she became very nervous after hearing what the student said and took him with her with the intention of preventing him from taking any wrong step. The teacher says that later she realized her mistake, but due to social stigma and fear, she was unable to muster the courage to return. After recording the detailed statements of both of them, the police handed them over to their family members. The family members, heaving a sigh of relief, have refused to take any further legal action at present.
