New Delhi: Amidst the increased tension between America and Iran, President Donald Trump has once again given a big statement regarding Tehran. Trump says that Iran wants to compromise, but at the moment it is not ready for a deal that America would consider right. On the other hand, while mentioning its military preparations, Iran has also made it clear that it is ready to deal with any threat.
According to news agency Reuters, Trump said during a conversation with the media on Friday that America is constantly monitoring the situation. According to him, Iran is willing to negotiate and compromise, but right now its situation is not such that a proper agreement can be reached. Trump said that America is keeping an eye on which direction the situation will take in the coming days.
Trump’s big claim regarding control over Hormuz
Trump also made a big claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz and its surrounding areas. He said that America has complete control over this important maritime area and the surrounding areas. The Strait of Hormuz is counted among the most important sea routes in the world. Oil is supplied on a large scale from here, hence Trump’s statement regarding this area is being considered very important. Amidst the already existing tension in the region, this claim of America has also increased the political stir.
Trump’s attack on Iran’s economic situation
Trump also made a sharp attack on Iran’s economic condition. He claimed that there is a huge shortage of money in the country and Iran no longer has the same naval and air power as before. Trump even said that Iran is not even in a position to pay salaries to its soldiers. He also made a big claim about the inflation situation in Iran and said that inflation there has reached 350 percent. However, there was no detailed response from Iran on these claims.
Iran said- our defense shield is strong
Amid Trump’s statement, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps chief Ahmed Vahidi expressed confidence in Iran’s defense preparedness. On the occasion of National Defense Industry Day, he said that Iran has prepared a strong security system to deal with the enemies. He says that despite strict international sanctions, Iran has continuously strengthened its defense capability. This message from Iran and Trump’s claims show that the tension between the two countries does not seem to be reducing yet and the path to agreement is not easy.
