India will take on Sri Lanka in the second and final Test of the two-match series at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo starting Sunday.
The Shubman Gill-led side currently leads the series 1-0 after winning the first Test at the Galle International Stadium in Galle.
Its campaign now moves to the capital city where it will play its first match at the venue in nine years.
The last time India played a match at the SSC ground — in any format — was in August 2017. India beat Sri Lanka in the Test match by an innings and 53 runs.
From the current India Test squad, only KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have previously played at this ground.
