Bonne Maman Just Dropped Its 2026 Advent Calendar—Yes, It’s Worth Buying in August and Likely to Sell Out

It makes every morning so much sweeter.

I’m a winter girl through and through. I think summer is great…for about two weeks. It doesn’t take long for me to get sick of the heat and the sweat and the sunscreen I can never seem to fully wash off, no matter how hard I scrub. In the winter, I have skiing, snow, comfortable sweaters, cups of hot chocolate and, most importantly, the holidays to look forward to.

With the drop of Bonne Maman’s highly coveted Advent calendarI’ve been lucky enough to experience a little holiday magic during this sweltering August. My last few weeks have been jam-packed with, well, jam. I’ve been slathering it on sourdough toast, spreading it over butter on bagels and eating it straight from the jar with a spoon, all in the name of research. I wouldn’t want to tell you all to buy this $56 Advent calendar if it wasn’t worth it. Fortunately, it lives up to the hype of the previous years. After trying all 24 flavors, I can confidently say that it’s worth buying now, especially since it has the bad habit of selling out long before December.

As with the previous calendars, Bonne Maman filled 24 1-ounce jars with limited-edition spreads. Some of my favorites this year include white nectarine and peach, wild blueberry with balm leaves, milk caramel with salted butter and raspberry with dark chocolate. And even when the flavors didn’t speak to me, like the apricot and banana spread, I happily gave them to my husband for him to polish off.

The best part about this calendar is that almost every flavor is one I wouldn’t normally buy for myself. Since I’m usually pretty traditional when it comes to my jams, preferring plain apricot over everything else, I rarely treat myself to anything more interesting when restocking at the grocery store. But with Bonne Maman's Advent calendarI get to try everything from pineapple with lemon verbena to rhubarb and strawberry without committing to a whole jar. It’s a low-stakes investment and a fun way to start my morning, all wrapped up in one.

Of course, Bonne Maman put as much thought into the box itself as it did its jams. Its cover shows the perfect scene, with gift boxes, ornaments, cookies, jam jars and more holiday essentials front and center. It’s earned quite a few compliments (and some looks of confusion, given the time of year) from guests who have come over, but I can see it being the main attraction on a mantle or kitchen table when December finally rolls around.

Even though I’ve already gotten and eaten my way through my Bonne Maman Advent calendar this year, I’ll be placing an order soon for my sister-in-law. Her birthday is in December, and I want to make sure to snag a box before it sells out.
