It said that ‘Zubin Bharucha is joining Mumbai Indians as Performance Director and will work closely with the leadership group on all performance related areas across the entire ecosystem of the franchise. The statement further said that Zubin Bharucha will work closely with head coach Mahela Jayawardene and his coaching team and he will have the responsibility of ending the franchise’s drought of not winning the IPL trophy.

Who is Zubin Bharucha?

Zubin Bharucha has many years of experience working in the world of IPL. He was the team director of Rajasthan Royals from 2008 to 2015. In the year 2012, Bharucha also coached the team. After this he played the role of Technical Director in Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). Then in the year 2018, Zubin Bharucha again joined Rajasthan Royals and held the post of Director of Cricket Operations till the 2025-26 season. Now he has been given the responsibility of Director of Performance in Mumbai Indians.
