Digital Desk, Busted. A case of death of four people of the same Hindu family under suspicious circumstances has come to light in Rangpur city of Bangladesh. The deceased include a retired school teacher, his wife, 23-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son. There was a stir in the area after the bodies of all four were found in a closed house in Daspada area on Saturday night. CID and Detective Branch along with the police have started investigating the case.

The deceased have been identified as 65-year-old Ganpati Chakraborty, his 50-year-old wife Pritilata Chakraborty, daughter Agami Chakraborty (applicant) and son Priyam Chakraborty. Ganpati was a teacher at Rangpur Zilla School and retired on December 31 last year. After retirement, he was doing homeopathy work.
Mobiles were switched off since Thursday, family reached home on Saturday night
According to family members, Pritilata's younger sister Pooja Chakraborty had spoken to her on phone on Thursday afternoon. After this no family member could be contacted. The mobile phones of all four are also said to be switched off since Thursday night.
When the family reached the house in Daspada on Saturday night, the main gate was closed and it was dark inside. When no response was received for a long time, police was informed. Police reached the spot and got the lock of the house opened. On going inside, all four members of the family were found dead.

Dead bodies found under the roof, stairs and bed
According to Rangpur Metropolitan CID officer Subir Chaudhary, the body of Ganpati Chakraborty was found on the terrace of the house. The bodies of his wife and daughter were found near the stairs, while the body of 12-year-old Priyam was found under the bed.
The family members have denied having knowledge of any old enmity or dispute. Ganpati's niece Soma Chakraborty said that the family had built a new house in Daspada area and had been living there for some time. Agami had completed his Masters in English this year. Whereas Priyam was studying in fifth class.
Police searching for the cause of death
After receiving information about the incident, apart from the police, CID and Detective Branch teams also got involved in the investigation. The forensic team has collected necessary evidence from the incident site.

It is not yet clear what caused the death of all four and when the incident occurred. The police is busy connecting the links of the entire case on the basis of the people in contact with the family, the incident site and the available evidence. The cause of death and the complete sequence of events will become clear only after the investigation is completed.
