Indian Wedding Tradition: Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh is once again in the news regarding its religious and spiritual identity. Here three foreign couples from Italy, Spain and England got married as per Indian culture and Sanatan tradition. Taking fire as witness, all three couples took seven rounds amidst the Vedic chanting and completed the marriage rituals. This unique wedding ceremony was held at Ninora Anand's Wellness Retreat Park located on Indore Road. The ceremony took place in the presence of Yoga Guru Dr. Omanand Maharaj. It was told that many of his disciples are connected in foreign countries through yoga and spirituality. Influenced by the Indian marriage tradition and concept of married life, these foreign couples had expressed their desire to get married as per the Sanatan tradition.

Indian name changed before marriage
All three couples were also given Indian Sanatan names in the marriage ceremony. Italy's Eva and Massimiliano got the names Darpan Anand and Balram Anand. Whereas Jessica and Luca were given the names of mother Sita Anand and Ram Anand. Inma of Spain and Mark of England were named Maa Shanti Anand and Prakashanand.

The thread of Sanatan was pulled from across the seven seas
The wedding rituals started with haldi and mehndi. After this, according to Indian tradition, the marriage procession took place and the marriage took place amidst Vedic mantras. During this, the foreign bride and groom and their guests were seen in Indian attire and participated with enthusiasm on Indian bhajans.
It was told that in the year 2024 also, three foreign couples from Italy, America and Peru got married according to Sanatan customs in the same ashram. This ceremony held in Ujjain has emerged as a unique example of the increasing interest of foreigners towards Indian culture and spiritual traditions.
