New Delhi. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has issued instructions to suspend Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam controller Rajesh Kumar Singh. This action has been taken in the context of a controversial statement of Rajesh Kumar Singh. Actually, Singh had held a press conference today on the issue of BPSC candidates. In this, a journalist asked Singh about the allegations being made by the agitating students, in response to which he said, 'Haathi chale bazaar, dog barke hazaar'…. This statement of the BPSC Examination Controller instantly went viral on social media and after a few hours, his suspension order was issued by the government.

However, after the video went viral and controversy started regarding the statement, Rajesh Kumar Singh gave a clarification and expressed regret. He had said that in the press conference held on the students' issue, I had mentioned a proverb which is being distorted and presented in other contexts on social media. I want to say that I had no intention of hurting any particular person or group. If anyone's sentiments have been hurt by this, I apologize for it.
Students of BPSC (TRE) 4.0 and other competitive examinations in Bihar are protesting in Gardnibagh, Patna. The candidates demand that the TRE-4 exam should be conducted in only one stage instead of two and minus marking should be abolished. The total seats should be increased according to the vacant posts and the candidates should get relaxation in age limit. Whereas in today's press conference, Exam Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh has made it clear that BPSC TRE-4 will be conducted in two phases (Pre and Mains). Also, negative marking will remain applicable.
