The government runs PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana) for financial help to the needy and small farmers of the country. Farmers who are not able to earn much through farming are given a total financial assistance of Rs 6,000 in a year through this scheme. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each.
Since the inception of the scheme, a total of 23 installments have been released to the farmers. Now crores of beneficiary farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 24th installment. According to the rule, the government releases the money for the next installment every four months.
In which month will Rs 2000 come to the bank account?
The 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana was transferred to the accounts of farmers on 20 June 2026. Since then, everyone's eyes are fixed on the date of the 24th installment. According to the interval of four months, the 24th installment can come any time between August and November.
There are big festivals like Dussehra and Diwali in the month of October, hence there are speculations that the government may give this gift around festivals. Earlier, some news had claimed that the 24th installment may arrive on Rakshabandhan, but PIB (Press Information Bureau) had denied this claim.
Keep in mind that until the official date is announced by the government, do not trust any misleading message or fake link. The official announcement is made before the installment is released.
Complete e-KYC and bank account linking immediately
If you want the 24th installment money to reach your bank account directly without any interruption, then check your e-KYC status immediately. The Agriculture Ministry has made biometric and OTP based e-KYC mandatory for all registered farmers. If your e-KYC is incomplete, the installment of Rs 2,000 may get stuck.
Apart from this, your bank account must be linked to Aadhaar as well as NPCI DBT active. At the same time, verification of land records i.e. land seeding should also be completed. Farmers can complete their e-KYC process in a few minutes by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or sitting at home through PM-Kisan Portal and mobile app through face authentication or OTP.
