India Share Market Update: Considering the weak cues in the global markets, major indices of the Indian stock market, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open lower today, Tuesday, August 25. The trend of Gift Nifty also indicated a bearish start for the Indian benchmark index. Gift Nifty was trading at around 24,170, down 60 points from its previous closing price of Nifty futures.

Domestic stock indices closed lower in the previous session, with the benchmark Nifty 50 closing below the 24,300 level. The Sensex closed down 171.72 points, or 0.22 percent, at 77,369.11, while the Nifty 50 fell 32.95 points, or 0.14 percent, to settle at 24,219.05.
