Jurel was on the score of 99 and then he ran for one run, but the ball came in the fielders' hands and he threw a direct throw, till then Jurel could not reach the crease. But, his luck was good and the direct throw did not hit the stump and Jurel got a life. Seeing his century completed, the entire dressing room rejoiced with joy. BCCI has shared a video, in which you can see that there was a lot of celebration in the dressing room after Jurel's century.

After scoring a century in the Colombo Test, Dhruv Jurel celebrated his innings by showing off his tattoo. Then after the end of the second day's play, Dhruv Jurel explained the reason behind this in the press conference. In the press conference, journalists asked him about his 'Tattoo Celebration', on which 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' was written. On this Jurel said, 'My grandfather was a farmer and my father was a soldier. These are my roots, where I come from, and I don't want to forget them. So that celebration was for my father and grandfather.

Dhruv Jurel scored a century

Indian cricket team's star wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel came to bat at number seven and scored a century of 115 runs in 177 balls, in which he hit 9 fours and 2 sixes. On the second day of the second Test match being played against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo, Team India lost 5 wickets in the first innings at the score of 296 runs, after which Dhruv Jurel came to bat at number 7.

Then on the first day, Rishabh Pant, who had retired due to injury, came out to bat again. After this, there was a brilliant partnership of 112 runs for the 7th wicket between the two Indian wicketkeepers. Thanks to this century innings of Jurel, India scored 503 runs after losing 9 wickets in the first innings.
