New Delhi. Swine flu (H1N1) cases are increasing rapidly in Delhi. This year, more than 2,300 cases of influenza-A have been reported in Delhi. These include more than 1,777 cases of H1N1 as of Friday. At the same time, according to the Health Department, 114 new H1N1 patients were found on Thursday alone. Meanwhile, amidst increasing cases of swine flu, Delhi Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Singh has called a high-level meeting. The current situation is being reviewed and prevention and control measures are being discussed in the meeting.

Delhi Government has appealed to the people to take care of cleanliness, avoid crowded places, cover mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing, wash hands with soap and wear a mask if necessary. Adequate beds, doctors, medicines and equipment are available in hospitals. Special surveillance is being maintained on 35 hospitals. The government is constantly monitoring the situation.
The total cases of Influenza A in Delhi are around 2,392, with H1N1 being the major one. The total number of cases of influenza A+B is about 2,602. According to the data given earlier by the Health Department of Delhi Government, more than 1,777 cases of H1N1 have been reported.
These days, cases of fever and viral are increasing rapidly. In the survey conducted in Delhi, at least one person in 54 percent of the households is suffering from fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose or body ache like flu and viral fever. At the same time, in 23 percent of the houses, four or more people are suffering from these symptoms simultaneously. In this survey conducted by Local Circles, more than 32 thousand responses were received from the people of NCR including Delhi. In the survey, 32,643 people told how many people in their house are currently suffering from symptoms like flu or viral fever.
According to the survey, 46 percent people said that no one in their house has such symptoms. At the same time, in 15 percent of the houses one person, in 16 percent two to three people and in 23 percent of the houses four or more people are suffering from such symptoms. This means that in 39 percent of the households, two or more members are ill at the same time. According to the survey, many symptoms of H1N1, Covid, dengue, malaria, chikungunya and common viral fever are similar. These include fever, cough, sore throat, headache, chills and weakness.
