Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Team India’s young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi is dominating. He created havoc with his bat in IPL and domestic cricket. Just a few months ago, he also made his debut in T20 for Team India. Recently Vaibhav made his debut playing for East Zone in Duleep Trophy. Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed his strength in bowling
North East Zone faced East Zone in the quarter final match of Duleep Trophy. Vaibhav Suryavanshi could not do wonders in batting for East Zone in the first innings. He was out after scoring 8 runs on 6 balls. He hit two brilliant fours. Despite this, the team scored a huge score of 467 runs.
North East Zone’s batting was very poor in the first innings. The team was all out for 111 runs. North East Zone had to play follow on. The condition of the team has deteriorated in the second innings also. This time captain Ishan Kishan handed the ball to Vaibhav also. He did not disappoint anyone and took two wickets in a single over. Vaibhav showed the way to the pavilion to Kishan Lyngdoh and Imlivati Lemtur. Vaibhav gave eleven runs in three overs.
Tremendous performance by East Zone team
The East Zone team performed well in the quarter final match. First the team showed its strength in batting. The team did not have a good start, but the middle order players maintained the momentum. Sudeep Kumar played a tremendous inning of 146 runs. Shahbaz Ahmed also put North East Zone under pressure by scoring 167 runs.
The bowling of East Zone was also strong. Abhijeet Sarkar showed the way to the pavilion to five batsmen from North East Zone. Apart from him, Shahbaz Ahmed also took three wickets. Shahbaz has played the role of all-rounder very well in this match. He is a strong contender for Man of the Match. The batsmen of North East Zone have disappointed in the second innings also.
