Lucknow. Big news has come out regarding industrial development in Uttar Pradesh. Investment proposals worth Rs 4,104.82 crore have been approved in the state. In a high level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary SP Goyal on Monday, approval was given to issue letters of comfort for eight big projects.
These investment projects are expected to boost many sectors in the state like manufacturing, cement, pharma, food processing, dairy and solar energy. Besides, new employment opportunities can also be created due to increase in industrial activities in different districts.
There will be big investment in these districts
The approved projects include APL Apollo Tubes' Rs 320 crore project in Gorakhpur, Terrestrial Food Processors' Rs 277.30 crore project in Amroha and UltraTech Cement's Rs 738 crore project in Lalitpur.
Apart from this, big industrial projects will also be established in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Hathras, Baghpat and Mathura. The biggest investment among these is in Alpex Solar's Mathura project of Rs 992.38 crore.
Employment will also gain momentum
After the implementation of these projects, it is expected that direct and indirect employment opportunities will increase along with strengthening of industrial infrastructure in the state. The government aims to implement investment projects expeditiously and provide necessary incentives to eligible companies as per the policy.
