Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War movie set. Photos of Ranbir and Alia in their retro-inspired looks have surfaced online, creating excitement among fans. The highly anticipated film, which also stars Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027. The film’s shooting is currently underway. Amid the ongoing production, exclusive photos of Ranbir and Alia from the movie have surfaced, offering a glimpse of their retro-inspired looks. Love & War marks Ranbir and Alia’s reunion on the big screen after their previous collaboration, Brahmastra. Meanwhile, Vicky will reunite with Ranbir after Sanju and with Alia after their acclaimed film Raazi.
Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Spotted Shooting For Love & War
Zoom TV shared photos of Ranbir and Alia from the Love & War set on Instagram, with the caption reading: “Exclusive: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, straight from the sets of Love & War — consider this your peek into the SLB world everyone’s been waiting for. Can’t wait!” For those unaware, Love & War was originally scheduled to hit theatres in December 2025 but was later postponed. The much-awaited film is now expected to release next year. According to a Mid-Day report, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali plans to complete the shoot by August 31, as the film’s three lead actors have busy schedules ahead.
A source told the tabloid that Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are expected to resume their respective work commitments from September. According to the report, Ranbir will begin promoting Ramayana after wrapping up Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus. Meanwhile, the final schedule is expected to feature two major war sequences and several dance numbers. The action scenes will reportedly involve around 50 stunt performers, along with approximately 300-350 junior artists working on the project.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will next headline Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited mythological epic Ramayana. He essays Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi portrays Goddess Sita and Yash plays the demon king Ravana. Sunny Deol is set to appear as Lord Hanuman, with Ravi Dubey as Lord Lakshman. The film also features Indira Krishnan, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Ajinkya Deo, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor and several other prominent actors in key roles.
Alia Bhatt was last seen in Shiv Rawail’s Alpha, Yash Raj Films’ first female-led spy thriller. She starred alongside Sharvari, with Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Bobby Deol also featuring in the film, adding to its star-studded ensemble cast.
