Lucknow: According to UP Weather Today, monsoon will be more active in eastern Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Many districts including Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh and Sonbhadra may experience rain, thunder and heavy showers. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places. Rainfall is expected to be less in Western UP, while in the capital Lucknow there are indications of cloudy weather throughout the day with several spells of rain.
Monsoon active in UP, rain continues in eastern parts
Monsoon remains active in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. There is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershowers in many districts of Eastern UP. Heavy rainfall may also occur at some places. At the same time, rainfall activities in Western UP are expected to be relatively less. There are chances of cloudy sky and intermittent rain in the capital Lucknow.

Weather activities in eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to be more active than the western part. It may rain in many districts including Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh and Sonbhadra. On Tuesday also good rainfall was recorded in Azamgarh, Varanasi and Sonbhadra.
In Purvanchal, there may be a situation of heavy rain and thundershowers along with rain. In view of the possibility of heavy rainfall at some places, people are advised to keep an eye on the changes in the weather.
Expected to be cloudy in Lucknow
There is a possibility of cloudy sky in the capital Lucknow on Wednesday. Intermittent rain and thundershowers may occur in different parts of the city. According to the weather forecast, more than one spell of rain may be seen during the day.
Earlier on Tuesday also, there was light to moderate rain in many areas of Lucknow. The rise in temperature is also likely to be limited due to rain.
Rain activity will be less in western UP
Rain activities are expected to be weak in western Uttar Pradesh as compared to Purvanchal. However, there may be light rain with thunder in some areas. The Meteorological Department has indicated that monsoon activities will continue in the state for the next few days.
The maximum temperature recorded in Lucknow on Tuesday was around 30.4 degrees Celsius, which was 3.3 degrees below normal. Humidity in the city remained between 80 to 94 percent. There is no possibility of much rise in temperature due to clouds and rain on Wednesday also.
Due to possible rain in Purvanchal and heavy rainfall at some places, the weather may remain pleasant. At the same time, some relief from humidity is expected due to clouds and rain in Lucknow and Central UP.
