The trailer of this film was released when the film got stuck in a controversy, when a Mumbai writer accused the makers of copyright violation. However, there is no update on this yet.

The trailer starts on a lovely note, with Taapsee playing Bani and her daughter Mishti. However, Bani’s world shatters when her daughter is kidnapped. When she runs after the kidnapper, who is holding her daughter, she collides with an iron pole and receives a serious head injury. The story then shifts to Joypura city, where Mishti’s kidnapping case becomes the third such case, the police investigate a big trafficking gang behind the kidnapping.
There is a connection with Mahabharata
Inspired by Gandhari of the Mahabharata, Bani blindfolds herself not for her husband, but for her daughter. To get his child back he has to fight the entire network. The trailer then picks up the pace, showing several shocking events as Bani gets involved in high-stakes action to find her daughter.
When will Gandhari be released?
Gandhari is going to be released on Netflix on September 3. This film stars famous actors like Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, Meeta Vashishtha and Jatin Sarna.
Copyright allegations against Gandhari
Before its release, Gandhari was embroiled in controversy when a writer, Kalyan Bandi, alleged that the Netflix film contained similar stories to the ones he had told Monica Shergill, VP of Netflix. However, the film’s production house, Katha Pictures, has denied these allegations.
