Avengers: Endgame Encore has set a new rerelease presales record within hours. The Marvel hit is scheduled to be rereleased in theaters on September 25, 2026. The movie’s tickets officially went on sale on August 25, 2026. In just a few hours, it has set a new century-best mark.
Avengers: Endgame Encore has recorded the highest first-day presale total of the century for a rerelease. @GlobalBoxOffice reported in an X post, “Avengers: Endgame Encore has reached the biggest first-day pre-sales this century for a rerelease a few hours after tickets went on sale, surpassing the TITANIC 3D rerelease.”
Avengers: Endgame was originally released in theaters on April 26, 2019. The movie received a 94% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 90% rating on Popcornmeter. With a production budget of $400,000,000, it grossed $2,717,503,922 worldwide, according to The Numbers. With that earning, Avengers: Endgame currently stands in the second position in the list of all-time highest-grossing movies.

While Avengers: Endgame Encore has shattered the record for first-day presales, the overall domestic record remains unbeaten, held by Star Wars: A New Hope. “The overall domestic record is held by the ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ rerelease ($138M total back in 1997),” stated the X post from Global Box Office.
Currently, Avatar stands at the top of the list of all-time top-grossing movies with a worldwide box office gross of $2,923,706,026. However, James Cameron’s sci-fi film achieved this feat after its rerelease in theaters. Now, as Avengers: Endgame Encore is scheduled to hit the screens yet again, it has the scope to topple Avatar.
