My Life With The Walter Boys writer and producer Jesikah Suggs breathed her last at her residence in Studio City, California, on August 18 after an eight year battle with breast cancer.
She was 32.
Her unfortunate passing was confirmed by her family, as per Deadline.
Speaking with the outlet on August 25, her sister Liz shared, “Through it all, she showed up to work every day, eager to defy being defined by cancer.”
“Two years after her initial diagnosis, her cancer metastasized,” she revealed.
Continuing, “Jes, once again, courageously endured and triumphed through every treatment imaginable, and she did it with a smile on her face and love for all the healthcare workers who poured their care into her … Her life will continue to bear fruit in the stories told by every writer she touched; so in a sense, she’ll still be writing for a very, very, very long time.”
Jesikah contributed to all three seasons of Netflix’s My Life With The Walter Boys from 2023 to 2026, which stars Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde and Ashby Gentry in leading the cast.
She served as a story editor during Season 1 and later was promoted to co-producer for Seasons 2 and 3.
Jesikah leaves behind her husband, Dustin Ingram, mother Roxanne, sisters Liz and Kathryn, brother Jimmy and other family members.
