In this difficult time, India has once again extended a helping hand to its neighboring country.
The Indian government has started preparations to send relief material to Nepal. According to government sources, officials of the Indian Foreign Ministry and Defense Ministry are in constant touch with Nepalese officials. Plans are being made to deliver relief and rescue material to the affected areas soon.
A large number of people have been affected by this disaster in Nepal. Information has come to light that hundreds of people, including more than 100 Indian citizens who had set out on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, are stranded in flood-affected areas. In such a situation, India's priority is to provide relief material as well as help to the affected people.
Preparation to send relief material
India is preparing to send essential items like food items, clean drinking water, medicines, medical kits, water purification tablets, temporary tents and blankets to Nepal. As per need, relief material will be transported to Nepal through special aircraft of Indian Air Force and by road.
The government is constantly monitoring the situation in the affected areas. Through coordination among the officials, efforts are being made to ensure that the relief material reaches the needy people without any delay.
Helping hand again in difficult times
India and Nepal have long had strong relations. India has also been helping Nepal in the past during natural disasters. Now once again India has extended a helping hand to Nepal which is struggling with floods and avalanches.
Relief and rescue operations are going on in flood affected areas including Rasuwagadhi. Access to many places remains challenging due to damaged roads and bridges. In such a situation, the relief material sent by India can prove to be of great help to the affected people.
