Tezzbuzz Desk: The students' agitation continues in Bihar regarding issues related to government recruitments including BPSC and TRE-4. Meanwhile, Union Minister and President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan has raised his voice in support of the protesting students. Chirag met the students who were protesting in Patna and listened to their 15-point demands and later presented them to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. In such a situation, the question now is whether the government will agree to all the demands of the students after Chirag's initiative?
In fact, on Tuesday, a large number of protesting students had announced to siege the Chief Minister's residence. The students were trying to move towards Raj Bhavan, but the police stopped them on the way. During this period, a situation of tension also arose between the protesters and the police. At many places the police lathicharged the students, while at some places water cannons were also used. Despite this, the protesters remained firm on their demands.
Chirag reached to meet the students after lathi charge
After the lathicharge during the demonstration, Chirag Paswan reached Gardnibagh in Patna, where a large number of students are sitting on strike. He interacted with the protesting students and understood their problems in detail. During this, the students submitted a memorandum of their 15-point demands to him.
After meeting the students, Chirag said that he will talk to the Chief Minister regarding their demands and present the students' side before the government. After this he met Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and informed him about the problems and demands of the candidates.
Chirag Paswan said that the pictures of lathi charge on the candidates of 70th BPSC exam disturbed him. He said that as a responsible alliance partner of NDA, it is his responsibility to convey the appropriate demands of the students to the government. According to Chirag, as soon as he reached Patna, he went to the protest site among the students and listened seriously to their problems.

During the meeting with Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Chirag Paswan prominently raised the issues related to BPSC, Beltron and TRE-4 candidates. He placed the demands and problems of the students before the Chief Minister.
Chirag said that the legitimate demands of the youth and the candidates preparing for competitive examinations should be resolved through dialogue and in a sensitive manner. At the same time, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary assured to seriously consider these demands and take steps towards a positive solution soon.
What does BJP have to say on the students' movement?
BJP has accused the opposition of doing politics on the ongoing students' protest regarding BPSC and TRE-4. BJP says that the students' movement is being made a political issue. The party alleged that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi are misleading the students and promoting the movement to gain political mileage. The ruling NDA says that the government has already taken steps on most of the major and legitimate issues raised by the students.
At the same time, JDU has also raised questions on the performance of the students. Party's national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan said that the logic behind the issues on which the students are agitating is not clear. He said that more than 32 thousand posts have been earmarked for TRE-4 and preparations are complete to conduct the examination in two phases.
According to Rajeev Ranjan, a five-member expert committee has also been formed to prevent incidents like paper leaks in Bihar. This committee will submit its recommendations to the state government.
What demands are the students protesting against?
The protesting students are adamant on their demand to cancel the 70th BPSC exam. Apart from this, there is also a demand for improvements in BPSC, TRE-4 and other government recruitment processes. The major demands of the students also include removal of PT-Mains system and negative marking from TRE-4 examination.
