Nepal floods: Nature's havoc was seen in the form of floods in Nepal. Floods have caused huge damage in the mountainous country. On Wednesday morning, a flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa district near the Tibet border washed away many villages and project sites in the country. There is a possibility of huge loss of life and property due to the havoc of nature. There is a possibility of 1000 people being swept away in this devastation. However, official confirmation is yet to come. The exact number of casualties is not yet clear as rescue and relief operations are ongoing.

It is being told that there was flood in this area at around 9 am local time. Officials have warned people living along the river banks to move to safe and higher places. Helicopters have been sent to the incident site. Relief and rescue operations have been started.
PM Balendra Shah called an emergency meeting
Prime Minister Balendra Shah has called an emergency meeting of the National Disaster Management amid the huge devastation caused by the sudden floods in Nepal. His advisor Asim Shah said that Prime Minister Shah is in direct contact with the chief district magistrates of the affected areas and is monitoring every moment.
Nepali Army spokesperson and Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet said that both the helicopters have been sent towards the flood affected area. In view of the flood and possible risk in Rasuwa, the traffic police has stopped the vehicles going from Kathmandu to Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Chitwan and Dhading in Kathmandu itself.
