Ujjain. There was an uproar over darshan arrangements at the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on Wednesday afternoon. Some Kanwariyas who had come for darshan at the temple allegedly tried to enter the Nandi Hall and go towards the sanctum sanctorum. When security personnel tried to stop them, the dispute escalated and a scuffle allegedly broke out.
A security personnel has suffered serious head injury in the incident, while information about injuries to some other security personnel has also come to light.
Attempt to go to Nandi Hall despite scheduled arrangements-
It is being told that the Kanwariyas were trying to go towards Nandi Hall instead of offering water to Lord Mahakal as per the prescribed darshan system of the temple. The security personnel tried to stop them, but they reached Nandi Hall and tried to enter the sanctum sanctorum.
Meanwhile, the dispute between the security personnel and the Kanwariyas increased and the matter reached a scuffle.
Accused of breaking barricades and removing goods-
According to temple sources, some people allegedly broke the barricades installed in Nandi Hall. It is alleged that the barricades and donation boxes installed to maintain order were also moved here and there.
After this the people concerned allegedly tried to gain unauthorized entry into the sanctum sanctorum. The security personnel tried to stop them, during which a fight broke out.
Serious injury to security personnel's head-
It has come to light that a security personnel suffered a serious head injury during the uproar. At the same time, other security personnel have also been injured. After the incident, questions have started being raised regarding the security arrangements in the temple premises.
Officials associated with the temple administration and security arrangements are gathering information about the matter. Due to the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the temple premises for some time.
