Our religious and civilizational bond is certainly very important, but given the current times, it is necessary to re-examine the relationship between the two countries from the perspective of environmental and ecological protection.” According to Nepal's foreign minister, “If the Himalayas melt, the sea level will rise. On Wednesday, that terrible event happened before our eyes. The sudden rise in the water level destroyed one area after another in Nepal. Within a few hours, one city after another was washed away.”
This situation in Nepal is a bad signal for India as well, reminded Shishir. According to him, ecologically China, Nepal, India and Bhutan are connected to each other. Our future depends on preserving the environment of the Himalayas in the future. Shishir reminded, Harappa Ban did not cross the border into India this time. But later such disaster may happen in India too. Therefore, keeping in mind issues like climate change, all countries should forget enmity and be aware.
It should be noted that Indians are the most affected by the Nepal disaster along with the local citizens. According to the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday, 288 Indians are still missing in this disaster. People from different parts of the country went to Nepal through multiple travel agencies. A total of 288 Indians working in Nepal are still missing according to the information taken from there. 200 people are awaiting rescue in Tibet. Jaiswal also said that the information available is preliminary. In reality the number could be much higher.
