Women associated with social organizations, charitable organizations, Brahma Kumaris and organizations working for the disabled took part in the celebration. They tied Rakhi to CM Patel and prayed for his good health and long life.
CM Bhupendra Patel welcomed the women gathered on the occasion and accepted their blessings and good wishes.
The event focused on the traditional bond of Rakshabandhan and also highlighted the participation of women from different sections of the society. According to the statement issued after the program, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reiterated his commitment towards the all-round development and security of women across Gujarat.
Minister of State for Education Rivaba Jadeja, Gandhinagar Mayor Miraben Patel and MLAs Ritaben Patel, Nimishaben Suthar and Payalben Kukrani participated in this program.
BJP national vice president Varshaben Doshi and state BJP Mahila Morcha president Anjuben Vekaria along with representatives from various sectors and senior government officials were also present.
The participation of women from different organizations and communities was special in this program held at Lok Bhawan, in which the traditional ritual of tying Rakhi and taking blessings was the main attraction. Rakshabandhan is traditionally celebrated as a celebration of the brother-sister relationship, with sisters tying Rakhi on their brothers' wrists as a symbol of love and protection. This year the celebration took place in Gujarat when women from different parts of the state gathered in Gandhinagar to celebrate the festival.
