Pune: Global uncertainty, cautious stance of homebuyers and slowdown in demand have also affected Pune's residential property market. In the quarter of April to June 2026, the sale of houses in Pune increased by almost 21 percent (Business) decreased. 12,642 houses were sold in Pune during this period. During the same period last year, 15,962 houses were sold.
This information has come out from PropTiger's 'Real Insight' report. The report reviews the residential property market in eight major cities of the country. A total of 91,729 houses were sold in these eight cities during April-June 2026. Sales were down six percent compared to 97,674 homes in the same period last year.
Sales in Pune fell by 3,320
15,962 houses were sold in Pune during April-June 2025. In this quarter, this number came to 12,642. That is, there has been a decrease of 3,320 houses in the house sales in Pune during the year, which is 21 percent. Among the eight major cities, the drop in sales in Pune is the biggest after Ahmedabad. Unstable global conditions, conflicts in West Asia as well as concerns about the possible impact of artificial intelligence on employment conditions have made potential home buyers wary. The report states that it affects the demand and sales of houses.

Chennai recorded the highest growth
Meanwhile, housing market conditions remained positive in some cities compared to decline in Pune. In Chennai, home sales increased by 36 percent, while in Hyderabad, by 15 percent. On the other hand, there was a decrease of seven percent in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, seven percent in Delhi-NCR, nine percent in Bangalore and nine percent in Kolkata.
