Technology Desk: Xiaomi has launched two new air purifiers in its smart home portfolio in India, Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 and Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact. Both purifiers are designed for different needs. The Purifier 6 is for larger rooms, while the 4 Compact can be used for smaller rooms or studies.
What is special in Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6?
Purifier 6 has 5 sensors to check the air quality. These provide information about PM 1, PM 2.5, dust, temperature and humidity. It also has a color LCD display on the front, on which the air quality of the room can be seen.
It has a 5-layer filtration system. It helps filter pollutants like dust, pollen, pet dander and PM2.5. It also contains activated carbon, which helps reduce cooking, pet, and other household odors. Apart from this, UVC sterilization and negative ion generator are also provided in it.
Designed for large rooms
Particle CADR of Purifier 6 is 443m³/h. According to Xiaomi, it can cover an area of up to 940 square feet based on 2 ACPH.
The company claims that it:
Can clean 108 square feet area in about 3.5 minutes.
Can clean 200 square feet area in about 6 minutes.
Can clean 400 square feet area in about 12 minutes.
It has Auto, Sleep and different fan speed modes. Noise in Sleep Mode is said to be around 32.1dB(A).
Will be able to control through mobile app
Purifier 6 can be controlled from the Xiaomi Home app. The user can check the air quality, turn the purifier on-off, set a schedule and also check the filter status through the app. It also has support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
Purifier 4 Compact also launched
Along with this, Xiaomi has also introduced Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact. It is designed for use in small rooms, bedrooms, study rooms or around a desk. Its design is also compact, so it can be easily kept in less space.

The price of both models in India is as follows:

Mijia Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact — Rs 7,999
Both models will be available in White colour. Their sale will start from September 2, 2026. Customers will be able to buy them from mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon.in, Blinkit and Xiaomi's retail stores.
