Kushinagar. The bodies of those who died in the devastating flood in Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa district of Nepal have now started reaching India. The bodies of three people who lost their lives in Nepal's horrific floods have been found in the Gandak river flowing through Kushinagar in UP. The administration has taken out these dead bodies. Nepal has been informed about the discovery of the dead body. Nepal government had said on Saturday that 626 people have been confirmed dead due to floods. Whereas, more than 2400 people are missing.
Kushinagar officials said that dead bodies were seen on pier number three of the barrage built on the Gandak river. After which the police was informed. Khadda police station took out the dead bodies. Information has been sent to Nepal for their identification. According to officials, LPG cylinders, vehicles, household items and a lot of debris have also reached India by flowing in the Gandak River. At the same time, news channel NDTV has reported that Nepal's Dhunge market has been completely destroyed in the sudden catastrophic flood. 40 people of a family here are missing. The one remaining member of the family is busy searching for the rest.
There was flood in Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Nepal on Wednesday, 26 August 2026. This has caused massive destruction at many places including Trishuli market. According to the information, the flood occurred in Tibet after a large part of a glacier broke and fell into the river. In Nepal, people suddenly saw Bhotekashi rising at 9 am local time.
