The journey started from Belagavi on 20th August
According to the information, a team of 21 LIC agents and officers left for the tour from Belagavi, Karnataka on 20 August 2026. The team first visited the major religious places of North India.
During this, he visited Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur. After completing the journey to North India, the team entered Nepal to visit the famous pilgrimage site of Muktinath.
News of flood received in Lumbini, Kathmandu plan cancelled.
After entering Nepal the team reached Lumbini. From here, there were preparations to go further to Kathmandu, when they got information about sudden floods and flash floods in many areas of Nepal. The weather was continuously worsening and there were reports of landslides at many places.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the team kept security paramount and immediately canceled the trip to Kathmandu. The team decided to return to India instead of going ahead, which later proved to be an important and right decision.
The entire team reached Delhi on Saturday night
According to the police, this team of 21 members reached Delhi safely on Saturday night i.e. 29th August. All members are completely safe. Now the team is expected to reach Nippani, Karnataka by Monday, August 31.
