Let us tell you that 32 year old Ankit Balyan was shot dead while coming out of a gym in Shamli district on Wednesday evening. According to the police, at around 6:55 pm, four unidentified people reached there in two vehicles and opened fire on Ankit Baliyan. He was seriously injured by the bullet. He was taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment, but the doctors could not save him. After his murder, a post went viral on social media, in which Gogi gang allegedly took responsibility for the murder.

1. Ankit attacked as soon as he came out of the gym
According to the police, Ankit Baliyan had come out of the gym at around 6:55 pm on Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, four unknown people reached there in two vehicles and opened fire on them. Ankit was seriously injured by the bullet.

After the firing, Ankit Baliyan was taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment. Doctors tried to save him, but his life could not be saved. Police said that he died due to bullet injury.

4. Police started checking campaign from night itself
While giving information about the incidents related to the encounter on Monday, Shamli SP Narendra Pratap Singh said that the police had implemented a plan of blockade in the district from 12 o'clock in the night to 6 in the morning. Its objective was to ensure that no vehicle could enter the district without checking.
5. At around 4 in the morning the police saw a suspect riding on a bike.
According to the SP, at around 4 am in the morning, SHO of Hijana police station Virendra Kasana was checking vehicles near his police station. During this time he saw a motorcycle coming from Karnal. He tried to stop the bike.
6. Suspects opened fire on SHO
According to the police, two criminals were riding the motorcycle. As soon as he saw the police officer, he started firing. SHO Virendra Kasana had a narrow escape, although his vehicle was hit by a bullet. After this he immediately informed the police through wireless.
7. The suspect ran towards the coward.
SP Narendra Pratap Singh said that after the firing, the suspects accelerated the bike and started running towards Kairana. The police were alerted about them through wireless, after which other police teams deployed in the area were also alerted.
8. Another SHO tried to stop under Manna Madra bridge.
According to the police, when the suspects reached under Manna Madra bridge, SHO Dharmendra Gautam of Kotwali police station was checking the vehicles. He tried to stop the suspects, but it is alleged that the suspects opened fire on him as well.
9. The glass of the vehicle was broken by the bullet, several police teams reached the spot.
According to the SP, the windshield of SHO Dharmendra Gautam's vehicle was broken due to the firing of the suspects. After this he challenged the suspects. From there the suspects turned left towards the city. An alert had already been issued on wireless, so many police officers including SWAT team, surveillance in-charge, SHO of different police stations, CO City, ASP and CO Kairana reached the spot.
