The final hours of the transfer window mean there are several domino effect situations that all depend on each other to go through.
Beto frees Kean and Zirkzee
It was known for several days that Kean was all set for Como, on loan for €5m with obligation to buy for another €30m and €5m in add-ons, but Fiorentina would not let him leave until they had a replacement.
They pushed all the way for Zirkzee from Manchester United, but realised late Sunday evening that the Dutchman only had his heart set on Juventus.
In turn, the Bianconeri were finally able to make an offer for Zirkzee for the loan with option to buy for €30m because Atletico Madrid are pushing for Jonathan David.

Recognising Zirkzee was going to keep stalling them, Fiorentina abandoned that pursuit and instead locked down Beto from Everton.
The former Udinese striker returns to Serie A for a fee of €17-18m depending on the source cited and is expected in Italy for his medical on Monday.
At the same time, Kean can go to Como for his tests and complete that transfer.
