The industrial park has reached a key legal milestone after the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee approved the project’s investment policy and selected IMG Long An Joint Stock Company as its investor.
The decision was presented at the Tay Ninh Province Investment Promotion Conference on Aug. 28. The industrial park was among 31 projects involving 27 investors that received investment policy decisions or investment registration certificates at the conference, with combined capital of about VND80 trillion (US$3 billion).
Across project groundbreakings, investment approvals and registrations, and expressions of investor interest, the conference recorded 103 projects and works with combined capital of approximately VND915 trillion.

The project comes as Tay Ninh expands its industrial and logistics capacity. The province’s economy grew 10.12% in the first half of 2026, while its economic scale in 2025 ranked ninth among Vietnam’s 34 provinces and cities. Tay Ninh has attracted more than $26 billion in foreign direct investment, ranking seventh nationwide, according to information released at the conference.
Under the approved plan, Tan Lan 3 will be developed as a multi-sector industrial park focused primarily on manufacturing and processing, along with industries and services supporting industrial production. The project must also comply with applicable environmental protection regulations.
The park is designed to accommodate 15 industry groups. The planned mix is intended to facilitate supply links among businesses, allowing products from one enterprise to be used as raw materials, semi-finished goods or service inputs by another.

The development is part of Tay Ninh’s broader focus on attracting investment based on quality, efficiency and economic spillover effects, according to information presented at the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau called for investment attraction to contribute to productivity, technological capabilities, domestic businesses and supporting industries, while avoiding economic growth at the expense of the environment.
Legal procedures for Tan Lan 3 are scheduled to continue through December 2026. Compensation, site clearance and funding advances for compensation, support and resettlement are expected to be substantially completed by August 2027.
Industrial land subleasing is expected to begin in phases from June 2028. Land procedures, site preparation, technical infrastructure construction and clearance of the remaining area are scheduled to continue through June 2029.
IMG Long An is responsible for completing the required legal procedures and meeting land-related and financial obligations, while coordinating with local authorities and relevant agencies on compensation, resettlement and project implementation.
Under the current timeline, Tan Lan 3 would add industrial capacity in Tay Ninh over the medium and long term, with industrial land not expected to become available immediately.
