In order to make Delhi Master Plan-2047 easier for the common people to understand, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has released a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on its website. In this, an attempt has been made to explain the major provisions and changes related to the master plan through simple questions and answers. Earlier, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu had directed DDA to initiate measures to provide information to the people about Master Plan 2047 through digital medium. After this, the FAQ list has been issued by the authority.
Master Plan 2047 FAQs in 'What's New' section
Officials said on Sunday that under this initiative, DDA has made available the complete list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) related to Master Plan 2047 in the 'What's New' section of its official website. Its objective is to provide easy and accessible information to the citizens and other concerned people about the various provisions of the Master Plan. The FAQ covers many important topics related to the Master Plan. Among these, topics like general rules, development control norms, redevelopment, heritage and public space, land pooling policy are prominent. Apart from this, the FAQs also include provisions related to Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), high-density corridors, low-density areas and in-situ rehabilitation of slums.
Information from land use to parking and TDR
DDA said that many practical aspects of Master Plan 2047 are also given in the FAQs. This includes rules related to land use and permitted activities, FAR (Floor Area Ratio), plot requirements and parking. Apart from this, information related to Transferable Development Rights (TDR), eligibility under land pooling and development model is also given in the FAQ. At the same time, the eligibility, development related rules and approval process under Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) and other policies have also been explained through questions and answers.
Citizens will be able to give suggestions and feedback
Apart from FAQs, DDA has also launched 'Master Plan 2047 (Feedback)' facility on its citizen service platform to seek direct suggestions from citizens and stakeholders. Through this, people will be able to send their suggestions, objections and feedback related to the master plan to DDA.

According to DDA, information and feedback facility related to Master Plan 2047 is available on citzservices.dda.org.in. Users must first sign up on this platform. After login, the option of 'Master Plan 2047 (Feedback)' will appear in the menu bar. Apart from this, users can also access this facility through 'At Your Service' section. From here, citizens and other stakeholders will be able to share their suggestions and opinions related to Master Plan 2047 with DDA. DDA says that this feedback facility provides a medium to the citizens and stakeholders to present their views directly to the authority. This will help foster continued dialogue and a more participatory process regarding Master Plan 2047.
