Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United’s best player last season, continued to hit form in the 2026-27 campaign as he scored a hat-trick against Ipswich Town in their Premier League match at the Old Trafford Stadium here on Sunday.
United was stunned early on when newly-promoted Ipswich opened the scoring off Leif Davis in the 29th minute but Bruno Fernandes restored parity 11 minutes later, receiving a pass from Matheus Cunha and beating the goalkeeper with his left-foot.
He then converted from the spot after the hour mark and completed his hat-trick seven minutes later.
It was Bruno’s second league hat-trick for the Red Devils, with the other also coming in Manchester United’s first home game of a Premier League season, against Leeds United in the 2021-22 season.
The Portugal midfielder became the 10th player to score multiple Premier League hat-tricks for Manchester United, a list that includes club legends like Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo. Moreover, Bruno became only the second midfielder at the club to score multiple Premier League hat-tricks after Paul Scholes.
