Big decision of Bihar government, 2 big good news for daughters

Patna. Bihar government has taken a big decision for the daughters preparing for competitive examinations. Preparations have been made to increase the scope of the ongoing Civil Services Incentive Scheme under the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Yojana. Now it is proposed to extend its benefit to eligible female candidates of all categories.

First good news: Daughters of all sections will be included

Till now the benefit of this scheme was mainly limited to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Extremely Backward Class and disabled women candidates. After the approval of the proposal, women candidates from general category, economically weaker section (EWS) and backward class will also be able to get its benefit.

Second good news: Assistance from Rs 30 thousand to Rs 1 lakh according to the exam.

A provision has been made to give incentive amount to women candidates on the basis of success in various competitive examinations. On passing the preliminary examination of some prescribed UPSC examinations, assistance can range from Rs 75 thousand to Rs 1 lakh.

There is a proposal of Rs 50 thousand for the candidates who are successful in CDS, NDA, CBI and other state civil services examinations, while Rs 30 thousand is proposed for RBI Grade-B, SBI and some railway recruitment examinations.

At present, women candidates who pass the UPSC preliminary exam are given an incentive amount of Rs 1 lakh to prepare for the main exam and candidates who are successful in the BPSC preliminary exam are given an incentive amount of Rs 50 thousand. The proposal will soon be sent to the Cabinet for approval. After getting the approval, more and more daughters of Bihar will be able to get financial help in preparing for competitive examinations.
