Nepal Flood: Amidst the recent horrific natural disaster in Nepal, such a surprising news has come out, which has shocked everyone. Recently, there were continuous torrential rains in many areas of Nepal. The rain was so heavy that landslides started occurring at many places in the mountains and the water level of the rivers crossed the danger mark. Within no time, the muddy water of the rivers entered residential areas, main markets and commercial buildings. People did not even get a chance to take out their valuables. The branch of a major bank there also fell victim to this devastation. The flood water filled the inside of the bank so fast that the counters, computers, furniture and the main office were completely submerged. Keeping security in mind, the officials immediately sealed the bank and evacuated the employees safely.

Rescue operation started as soon as the flood receded
As soon as the rain stopped and the flood water gradually started receding, a joint team of the bank management and Nepal security forces immediately reached the spot. Seeing the condition outside the bank, everyone was guessing that everything inside must have been destroyed. There was a pile of mud and debris everywhere. But the real objective was to reach the main locker and strong room of the bank. When the main locker and safe chest of the bank were opened after a lot of effort under the supervision of security forces, the officers and employees were stunned to see the scene there.
Gold worth Rs 50 crores and cash worth crores safe
The gold worth about Rs 50 crore kept inside the locker was completely safe. Despite the heavy impact of water, there was no damage to the gold due to the sealing and strong structure of the locker. Along with this, currency notes worth crores of rupees kept in the locker were also recovered. However, due to the flood water seeping deep inside, some bundles of notes had definitely become wet, which are being dried by the bank employees and the counting of notes is going on.
Treasury shifted to another branch under tight security
After finding such a large amount of gold and cash, security arrangements were tightened in the area. Heavy police force was deployed on the spot to avoid any kind of looting or untoward incident. The entire treasure has been loaded into armored vehicles under tight security and transferred to the nearest secure bank branch. The bank administration and local officials have heaved a sigh of relief that complete recovery was achieved in time, otherwise the bank and customers would have had to suffer huge financial losses.
