New Delhi. Tis Hazari Court has found swindler Sukesh Chandrashekhar guilty of influencing the bail process in another criminal case by impersonating a Supreme Court judge. The court has sentenced Sukesh Chandrashekhar to 8 years of rigorous imprisonment in this case. Sukesh Chandrashekhar is facing 31 cases of cheating and cheating. He has got bail in many of these cases. Earlier Sukesh was kept in Tihar Jail of Delhi. Sukesh and his wife had said that there was a threat to their lives in Tihar. After which the Supreme Court sent him to Mandoli jail. Thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been in this jail since then.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Tis Hazari Court Harshita Mishra sentenced Sukesh Chandrashekhar to a total of 8 years imprisonment under Section 170, Section 189 and Section 507 of the IPC. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Sukesh Chandrashekhar. While awarding rigorous imprisonment to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Tis Hazari court said that the punishment should be such that it shows that the criminal justice system differentiates between isolated illegal acts and a series of deliberate acts intended to manipulate, intimidate or interfere in the legitimate functioning of public institutions.
The court has said in the sentencing order that Sukesh Chandrashekhar will be given the benefit of the time spent in custody. The court said that the message should be sent that a crime committed as part of a well-planned conspiracy and especially a crime against the judicial system will have serious consequences. Sukesh Chandrashekhar can now appeal against this punishment in the sessions court. However, the punishment he received will be significantly reduced due to the long time he has been in custody. Sukesh Chandrashekhar is originally from Bengaluru, Karnataka. He started the fraud at an early age by pretending to hold various influential positions.
