X-Men’s Kit Connor Finds His Next Movie After MCU Cyclops Casting, First Details Here

X-Men actor Kit Connor has signed on for his next film after signing on as Cyclops in the upcoming Marvel film. Connor’s next film will pair him with Diana Silvers in a true-crime film by Janicza Bravo. The upcoming movie, titled PRƎPPYwill focus on the murder of Jennifer Levin in 1986.

As reported by Deadlinethe film’s original screenplay will be written by David Levine and Rose Lichter-Marck. It will be produced by Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and John Buderwitz for Aggregate Films. They will be joined by Peter Coleman and Paula Manzanedo for STX. Bravo will also serve as a producer.

The film revisits the Jennifer Levin murder case that gripped New York in 1986

As the title suggests, the film will also focus on Levin’s killer, Robert Emmet Chambers Jr., also known as the Preppy Killer. For those unfamiliar, Jennifer Levin was an 18-year-old woman who was strangled by Chambers in 1986. Initially, Chambers denied having committed the murder, only pleading guilty to the charges in 1988.

After serving a 15-year sentence, Chambers was released in 2003. However, he was once again arrested in 2008 on charges of selling controlled substances in the first degree and was released in 2023.

Connor previously starred in Warfare and The Wild Robot. The actor is most well-known for playing Nick Nelson in Netflix’s Heartstopper. He will be seen next in Alex Garland’s feature film adaptation of the video game Elden Ring, which is scheduled to release in 2028. In the same year, Connor will debut as the MCU’s Cyclops in its X-Men reboot.

Janicza Bravo previously helmed films such as Zola, Is God Is, Lemon, and others. She also directed episodes of TV shows like The Bear, Too Much, The Listeners, Poker Face, and more.
