Saira Banu shared memorable pictures on Sadhna Jayanti, called her a great actress!

The birth anniversary of Sadhana Shivdasani, one of the top actresses of the 60s and 70s, is being celebrated on Wednesday. On this occasion, actresses Saira Banu and Jackie Shroff remembered him. Actress Saira Banu posted some pictures on Instagram, in which she is with other stars like Sadhna, Raj Kapoor and Mala Sinha.

He wrote, “A loving memory of Sadhna on her birthday. One of the finest actresses of Indian cinema and a person full of dignity. Sadhna was one of the best discoveries of S. Mukherjee's (Shashadhar Mukherjee) Filmalaya Studio. She was an artiste who did brilliant work in films like 'Woh Kaun Thi', 'Mera Saaya' and 'Waqt', which is still etched in people's hearts and memories forever.”

Actor Jackie Shroff posted some pictures of actress Sadhna on his Instagram Stories section, with which he wrote, “You will always be in our memories.” Sadhna, one of the top actresses of the 60s and 70s, is still very popular for her excellent acting as well as her special hairstyle (Sadhna Cut).

At the age of just 14, Sadhna worked as a background dancer in the famous song 'Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh' from Raj Kapoor's film 'Shree 420'. After this, she played the role of the younger sister of the lead actress in the 1958 film 'Abana' and for this she got only a symbolic fee of ₹ 1.

In the year 1960, Sadhna made her debut as a lead actress in Sashadhar Mukherjee's film 'Love in Shimla', which was directed by RK Nair. This film was a superhit. However, her special hairstyle, inspired by Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn, got the name 'Sadhana Cut', which became a trend among the girls of that era.

Refusing to do side roles in the film Sanyas, the actress stayed away from films and followed her principle of working only as the lead heroine. He died on 25 December 2015.
