Adventure motorcycles in India have become the two-wheeler equivalent of SUVs. They are becoming very popular because they can be used on any type of terrain without the worry of them causing any issues. And being one of the top bikemakers in India, Royal Enfield is now getting ready to expand its adventure motorcycle line-up with four new models. These four new bikes will target very different types of riders. So without any delay, here are the details of the four upcoming Royal Enfield adventure motorcycles in India.
The first adventure motorcycle in this list which will be making its debut is the Himalayan 440. It will be launched on September 4, which is also the date that marks 10 years since the original Himalayan 411 was introduced in India. The new motorcycle is expected to be positioned below the Himalayan 450 and will bring back the simpler and more affordable adventure touring formula of the older Himalayan 411. However, it will be using a newer and more powerful engine.
The Himalayan 440 has already started reaching dealership yards ahead of its launch. It is expected to look very similar to the older Himalayan 411, with a functional rear section, circular ORVMs, tall windscreen, long-travel suspension and an upswept exhaust. The motorcycle is expected to use a steel frame, telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. And a 21-inch front wheel should make it more capable on broken roads and trails.
Power will come from the same 443cc LS440 engine used by the Scram 440. This single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine produces 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Himalayan 440 is expected to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This will put it in between the Scram 440 and Himalayan 450.
The second motorcycle on this list will sit much higher in Royal Enfield’s adventure motorcycle range. We are talking about the Himalayan 750, which is being developed as a larger long-distance adventure tourer. This flagship ADV is expected to make its global debut at EICMA 2026, following which it will be launched in India in 2027.
Now, unlike the Himalayan 450, the 750 will focus more on highway touring than hardcore off-road riding. Its multiple spy shots have revealed a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen, proper front fairing and wider side panels. It is also expected to come offered with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with road-biased tyres. It will also get Showa upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock with remote preload adjustment.
The biggest change will be the new 750cc parallel-twin engine. It is expected to feature a 270-degree crankshaft and could produce around 55 to 60 bhp and 60 to 65 Nm. Ride-by-wire, multiple riding modes, cruise control, smartphone connectivity and a circular TFT display are also expected. The motorcycle will most likely be priced below Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Another very important launch from Royal Enfield is the more premium electric adventure motorcycle, which will be called the Him-E. Unlike the Flying Flea models, this motorcycle is directly linked to the Himalayan family and has already been showcased in prototype form.
The Him-E is expected to use a 14 kWh battery and come paired with a 74.5 kW electric motor. Reports have suggested that it could make around 100 PS of power and reach a top speed of around 120 kmph. Its real-world range is expected to be more than 200 km.
The motorcycle is also expected to feature premium hardware. These will include electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension, fully adjustable USD forks, wire-spoke wheels, Nissin brake callipers and a Brembo master cylinder.
A 7-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, Google Maps navigation and four riding modes, including Eco, Tour, Off-road and Rally, are also expected. If launched as expected, the Him-E could be positioned at around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), which will make it a lot more expensive than the Himalayan 450.
The fourth upcoming adventure motorcycle from Royal Enfield is the Flying Flea S6. This motorcycle takes a different approach to electric adventure riding than the Him-E. It will be the second motorcycle under Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea electric brand. And it will boast a scrambler/enduro-inspired design.
This motorcycle will be mainly aimed at urban riders who want to perform some mild off-roading. The S6 will be offered with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, dual-purpose tyres, USD front forks and a rear monoshock. It will also feature an enduro-style seat and generous suspension travel. However, Royal Enfield has not yet revealed its battery capacity, motor output or final range.
Technology will be one of its biggest highlights. The motorcycle gets a 3.5-inch round TFT touchscreen, navigation, smartphone connectivity, wireless charging and keyless operation. It will also get six riding modes, adjustable regenerative braking, traction control and lean-angle sensing ABS.
